MS Access is part of the MS Office Suite and is a program for developing database applications. Due to its ability to quickly implement Windows-based applications, either through the use of the macro generator or Microsoft Office's Visual Basic variant (Visual Basic for Applications, VBA), it is a popular choice for small businesses with limited budgets. It allows them to replace extensive Excel spreadsheets with a relational database using SQL. However, MS Access may encounter limitations in multi-user environments or applications with high levels of access. Additionally, it is not designed for internet access.
